🇺🇸 Holiday Office Closure Notice 🇺🇸
Our offices will be closed on Monday, July 6, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, July 7.

Last week, BPW Commissioner David Dorman had the opportunity to speak to the Rotary Club of Gaffney during its final meeting of the Rotary year. He shared an update on many of the exciting projects currently underway, including infrastructure improvements, residential and industrial growth, customer service enhancements, and investments that are helping prepare our community for the future.

A special thank you to Commissioner Dorman for representing BPW and taking the time to keep our community informed about the work being done to serve Cherokee County.

We also appreciate the Rotary Club of Gaffney for the opportunity to share these updates and engage with local community leaders.

🐻 Trail Update: We Have a New Visitor!

Edit: We have since learned this photo was taken by a local fisherman, not one of our trail cameras. We appreciate them sharing it with us so we could help keep the community informed.

It looks like one of our cameras caught a special guest making the rounds at Lake Whelchel Trail! Before anyone worries, this is a reminder that we share our beautiful outdoor spaces with wildlife.

If you’re enjoying the trail:
• Stay alert and be aware of your surroundings.
• Keep pets leashed.
• Give any wildlife plenty of space.
• Never approach or feed a bear.
• If you do spot one, calmly back away and report the sighting.

The bear is simply doing what bears do. We just wanted to make sure everyone knows who else has been enjoying the trail!
