Promise Home Honduras Ministering to children & families in Honduras

We want to give you an update on the COVID-19 in Honduras.

Just like the rest of the world, we are in full lockdown here at Promise Home as well. As of today Honduras has 139 cases with 3 deaths. Lockdown is a little different here than in the US in that the police and military do not allow any cars on the streets unless you have a permit from the government.

Our children’s campus is isolated and all of us are healthy. We are currently working with a reduced staff since we sent the tias home if they had young children at home. We have plenty of food here and our spirits are high. As in the US the schools are closed. Our After School program is suspended. Our campus children are now being home schooled by our tias.

This is indeed an unprecedented event in our history. During this difficult time for you and your family, we hope that you do not forget about us and the young lives that you have had an impact on here. Our children are dependent on you.

We have several prayer requests for you, our friends and sponsors:
• Please pray for the leaders and the people around the world that are working to minimize the impact of this pandemic.
• Please continue to pray for the health and safety of our children and staff here.
• Please don’t forget that expenses at Promise Home remain constant. We recognize that many of you may not be working at this time. Finances are tight for everyone. But please don’t neglect the neediest of all, the children in the world.

Our mission teams are unable to come and work with us at this time and that means that many of our donations are eliminated. If you possibly could make a donation to Promise Home, we would really appreciate the help.
