Did you happen to notice that in the history of the NFL Draft, the first round has been held on April 23 a total of three times? And in those three years, the first pick for the Dallas Cowboys has been Troy Aikman (1989), DeMarcus Ware (2005) and CeeDee Lamb (2020)? Talk about good company. Let's keep the streak going in 2026!

Condolences to the family of John Fitzgerald, who passed away yesterday morning. You long-time fans will remember he was the starting center from 1973-80, which included the 1975 season when Tom Landry brought back the famed shotgun offense. Fitzgerald handled the transition seamlessly. He also never played on a losing team and got himself two Super Bowl rings, having enjoyed a solid career despite being overlooked for the Pro Bowl. He remains a part of the great lineage of centers who have played for the Dallas Cowboys!
