With Overture Fairview – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉As usual I went to have breakfast with my "New Senior Crew" for my weekly sit-down lesson with the Wise Guys. Today's lesson, speak slow and make sure you're not confusing us, we're old and don't have a lot of time, so get to it missy! lol. Gotta love them.

Not to be outdone by Overture Fairview, Ms. Sydd Thompson said she's up for the challenge to include all the residents at the community to be engaged, support and understand all services offered by Wellness Checks 4U. The seniors at Overture Fairview gave me a run for my breakfast and a new business idea, can't wait to see what the seniors in Frisco have in store for me. Again, gotta love them.

Today I learned to expect the unexpected.

I was invited to have breakfast with the residents, but to my surprise after my 10-minute speech they decided I needed to earn my breakfast, so school was in for me, lol. I sat at the table with a few residence who decided they actually like me and wanted to tell me exactly how to get their attention and make them want to use my services, wow.

They literally spent a full hour with them, and did role play on my presentation because they loved what I do and wanted me to succeed. The 3 highlights were;

1. Come right out with it, don't sugar coat the price, get to the point, THE MONEY!
2. Only talk to small groups, otherwise you'll lose us
3. DO NOT come with expensive giveaways, it makes us think IT's A TRICK! we'll pay for it in the long run.
4. When you're standing, you're giving a speech, but when you sit you're having a conversation with us.

The office staff was even surprised and said they have never had the residents invite someone back, lol. So, looks like I have a new training group which includes breakfast, can't beat that.

The best part of it all was they gave me another business idea, a service they need that no one has offered. So, looks like I'll have another link to the website soon.

Wonderful evening celebrating at The Tox Allen with Marla Mowdy-Sharpe show casing her business located in Waters Creek, a absolute must visit. And as expected I shared my business with the only 2 people in the room who didn't know me, lol. I never stop. Thanks for really nice time Marla.

Another great day, Thanks to the Allen Police Department for supporting Wellness Checks 4U, we are now a referral source for the department. YEAH!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday the Lt. told me, "the early bird gets the worm", I had to be at the station at 6:45am to get this picture, Geezzz, early but worth every moment. These guys are not only fit and handsome, they were also super nice and very willing to help and support wellness checks 4u, I appreciate all of you.

Thank you, Lt. Thomas for making it all happen and I look forward to a great long-standing relationship, providing services, resources and support to the Senior Community and Adults with Disabilities throughout the city of Allen and beyond.

June is Birthday month, I'm too tired to celebrate all month, trying for twice a week, lol. As a small business owner, even when I'm out celebrating my birthday month, I'm networking. Look closely at the gentleman sitting next to me, yes, he has a wellness check business card, lol. I gave a 10-minute wellness overview, turned out to be perfect timing. Clients are everywhere, never stop working. Great Margarita Festival.

Blessed, Busy and Grateful

As a business owner, it's hard to relax, let go and let God but when you do, OMG how the doors open, opportunity flows and the right people come at the right time.

When you're use to being in control, having patience and trusting others to help get the job done can be a struggle. Finally, all invested, work sweat and tears are starting to pay off.

NOW BACK TO BUSINESS! HIRING: (2 new request this week)

1. Need to hire a Man (40+) to sit with a male Veteran 78 yrs. old, in McKinney - three days a week, 3hrs 6-9pm for companionship. His brother is the caregiver teaches at Collin College Mon. Wed. nights and has a zoom class on Fridays. Friday you will be at the home with the caregiver to help keep brother occupied so that he can have an uninterrupted zoom session.
2. Disabled Female 62, in need of friendship, someone to attend home community events in Frisco every Monday and Friday 4-5pm to help her with reaching, moving and handling items on the table for increased participation.

Great way to start my day off celebrating my Birthday with friends. It was early and hot!! but it was nice, Thank you
I am extremely grateful and I appreciate my caregiver support group at Cottonwood Church. It was so nice of you all to take me to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden yesterday to start off my birthday celebration. I had a wonderful time, enjoyed the lunch, gifts and cakes. Now the party starts, lol
