Rainy, dreary, muddy day — and it’s a GREAT day! ☔️🌧️

You ever have one of those rare days where everything just clicks, lines up, and gets done exactly how it should? Today was one of those — and I’m soaking it in (literally and figuratively)! Ha!

I was racing the rain and the clock today, and the universe delivered:
1. Chris — one of our amazing volunteers — showed up right when I needed him.
2. We got all the animals fed and settled.
3. Goat and sheep pen mucked.
4. Area around the hay bale cleaned up.
5. Mike and Holly started the mini pasture — and everything finished at the same time.

Then — BAM — the rain started.

It really takes a team, and every bit of help matters. I’m so grateful for these folks who made a messy day smooth and efficient. From the bottom of my muddy boots — thank you guys!

Here at Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue, we have a small, special herd of horses who may never be riding partners—but they are full of heart, personality, and sweetness.

These are:

- Gentle companions who bring calm and comfort to other horses
- Shy souls learning to trust the halter, the brush, and a kind hand
- Horses who need patient, consistent care with their feet and basic handling

Important: At this time, none of our horses are suitable for riding.

What they “can” be are cherished pasture pets, emotional support for other equines, and beloved members of a forever family.

Bently has acres of open land to explore and still manages to find the one burr patch… just so he can try out “nature’s curlers”. We truly think he’s doing it on purpose to get some one on one time with Robert. 🤣

Breaking News:The Pasture “Peace Treaty” has officially fallen apart after a bray-nstorming session went south.

Charlie Brown insists the ball’s his “emotional support enrichment device,” while Angelo claims it’s “community property.” Eyewitnesses report excessive side-eyeing, dramatic sighs, and one well-aimed nudge that might qualify as a “gentle shove.”

The situation remains “un-stable”. Negotiations will resume after both parties cool off and/or forget what they were mad about. 😂
