UPDATE: SATURDAY EVENING 2/20
• As a reminder: The boil water notice for north Fort Worth has lifted. However, this only applies to Fort Worth Water customers. If you have another water provider, please contact them directly for information and instructions.
• The boil water notice for west Fort Worth is still in effect. Visit our website for an interactive map to check your address: https://www.fortworthtexas.gov/news/2021/02/Water-Boil-Notice
• Our labs took samples in west Fort Worth today and results should be back tomorrow. We are not permitted to lift the boil water notice until we conduct all tests, with favorable results. Then TCEQ will lift the boil water notice.
• We are seeing improved system pressure in west Fort Worth, but the significant number of main breaks, many inside Loop 820, requires increased pumping in order to maintain system storage. Many in our community have reported breaks to us today, and we thank you!
• As of 4pm a total of 227 confirmed breaks are waiting for repairs. We also have 312 reported breaks to investigate. There are 20 water utility crews working to repair the main breaks and an additional 19 contractor crews working.
