In observance of Presidents Day, The Learning Tree Preschool Fresno and Hope Lutheran Church Fresno will be closed Monday February 16, 2026. We will resume normal office operations on Tuesday.

Prayer for Valentine’s Day from Sierra Pacific Synod - ELCA

Loving God,
you are the source of all love—
love that delights and love that endures,
love that heals and love that holds us
when hearts are tender or heavy.

We thank you for the many ways love shows up among us:
in partners and spouses,
in friendships that sustain us,
in families we are born into and families we choose,
in neighbors who show up with kindness,
and in the quiet work of learning to love ourselves
as you already love us.

On this day, we lift up those who are celebrating love,
and we hold close those who are grieving, lonely,
or carrying heartbreak.
Remind us that no one is forgotten,
and no one stands outside your care.

Teach us to love as Jesus loves—
with patience, generosity, courage, and grace.
Help us practice love that listens,
love that forgives,
love that seeks justice,
and love that makes room for all.

May our words be gentle,
our actions be compassionate,
and our lives reflect the love you pour out so freely.

We pray all this in your holy name.

The Anchor ⚓ This is the overall theme that we are unpacking as we move through Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany. We use this theme because it seems so appropriate to the times we are living in, where fear seems constant and joy seems distant.
