WHAT: As California's older adult population continues to grow and demand for senior healthcare services rises, On Lok will celebrate the grand opening of its new Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Center in Union City. The 23,022-square-foot center expands access to comprehensive, community-based care for older adults across Southern Alameda County and is designed to serve up to 400 On Lok PACE participants and their family caregivers.
The celebration will feature remarks from elected officials, community leaders and On Lok representatives, as well as a ceremonial ribbon cutting and tours of the new facility.
The new On Lok Union City PACE Center helps address a growing need for accessible senior healthcare services in one of the Bay Area's fastest-growing and most diverse communities. Through On Lok's nationally recognized PACE model, older adults receive coordinated medical care, behavioral health services, rehabilitation, transportation, meals, wellness programs and social engagement services that help them remain living safely and independently in their homes and communities.
On Lok operates nine Bay Area PACE centers serving 2,300+ participants, including three centers in the South Bay, where On Lok is the only PACE organization serving all of Santa Clara County, two centers in Southern Alameda County, and four centers in San Francisco.

WHY IT MATTERS:
California's older adult population is growing faster than any other age group, with nearly one in four Californians expected to be older than 60 by 2030. At the same time, many older adults face a fragmented healthcare system that can be difficult to navigate, particularly those with multiple chronic conditions and complex care needs.
The new On Lok Union City PACE Center helps bridge that gap by bringing healthcare, transportation, rehabilitation, meals, wellness services and social engagement together under one coordinated model, helping older adults live safely, independently and with dignity in the communities they call home.
