Bulldog Beat

Congratulations to the Beat’s Kara Aland and Riley Tokar who previously won first place in the Pennsylvania Press Club state competition, and automatically qualifying for the national contest. Their Cafe 116 video ultimately ended with an honorable mention for the National Federation of Press Women.

On April 1st, the beat had three of their own compete at the Pennsylvania School Press Association Student Journalism Competition. Kara Aland, Riley Tokar, and Brooke Stragand all advanced to the finals after the regional competition that was held at Slippery Rock on November first. Aland and Tokar competed in the features category and Stragand competed in the news category. The videos are due in one week, and we will have the results for you when we receive them!
