What is now just framing and subfloor will soon become a bathroom designed to support living in place. Some of the features incorporated into the design to promote safety, accessibility, and long-term independence include:
* Blocking installed behind the walls to support both current and future grab bars.
* Curbless roll-in shower to improve accessibility and reduce tripping hazards.
* Built-in shower bench to support seated showering and make bathing more accessible.
* A handheld showerhead that offers flexibility for seated or standing showering, makes bathing easier for users of different abilities, and simplifies cleaning the shower.
* Adequate clear floor space to accommodate wheelchair access and maneuverability.

What happens when a designer and a realtor collaborate on a project like this?

The designer .rebecca sees possibilities in every detail—the finishes, the cohesiveness, and the feeling of the space. The realtor sees how buyers will experience the home and what will make it stand out in today’s market.

When was brought in to market this property, it quickly became clear that the story behind the home was just as important as the home itself. Built by students in a trades program, this project represents more than new construction—it’s the result of hard work, craftsmanship, and hands-on learning.

Together, our goal was to showcase both the home and the people behind it. To highlight the thoughtful design, the quality of the work, and the incredible talent of the students who brought it to life.

On this project, those perspectives came together to create something neither of us could have achieved alone: a home that’s not only beautiful and market-ready, but one that tells a story. A story of opportunity, collaboration, and the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

This little plant is rooted in community. 🌿

Started from cuttings shared by two different plants (from different states), it’s a reminder that growth rarely happens alone.

Much like great design, the most meaningful things are often shaped by many hands, shared ideas, and people willing to invest in something bigger than themselves.
A little collaboration can grow into something beautiful.

I am very thankful for both the community that I have been given and the community that I have formed. Having meaningful relationships with other business owners allows me to provide a better experience for my homeowners.
