Last night, towns across Frederick County, including Frederick, Walkersville, Thurmont, Middletown, and Catoctin Furnace, joined hundreds of locations in the United States in a simultaneous reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Thank you to everyone who participated as readers, representing communities from across Frederick County, for bringing the words of the Declaration to life and commemorating our county's pivotal role during the Revolutionary War. Thank you to the Frederick Usa250 Semiquincentennial Commission for supporting this incredible event!
