Good evening Maxwell's Family. :)

T.L.D.R. - I grew radishes. I say goodnight to my plants. Joy is important. We're all all here

I thought maybe you guys would like to know more about me. If not, you don't have to tell me that. I mean you can...but why?

I like to try to grow things. More like...I like to try to help things grow.

I just walked around to say good night to my plants, and ask them to grow.
I've been watching this radish go to seed for a couple days. I usually pick and eat them as soon as they look ready. πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹. This was one I didnt notice until it was already past that, so I figured it should get a shot to bolt. :) It's my first radish flower. It feels important, so I thought I would share it.

I didn't eat radishes before I started growing them. But then they grew pretty well so I started testing recipes. There are a bunch of ways that I can eat them, but roasted is probably the safest for someone who says "I don't like radishes.".

I plant radishes in this planter often because its the spot I don't have to erect a structure to protect them. Everywhere else I have to protect all veggie leaves from the local fresh greens fans...so many rabbits...lol.

I found out that my bread queen really likes fresh radishes. I gave her one, I pulled on my way out to my truck before work yesterday and she took it home, and ate it the next morning in eggs... from the root to the tip. She eats the whole plant, with joy. πŸ˜€

How serendipitous. I have excess radishes the day I find someone who would love fresh radishes. When I asked her if she wanted more, she was stoked. So, tonight I got the satisfying harvest of the radishes, and tomorrow I get to give them to someone who is excited to receive them. It's like a shot of peace for my spirit.
To be able to give and receive joy is a real dopamine shot...like actually. I say all the time that we need to sn**ch all the joy we can from this life. Today it's radishes.
