Dianah Gibson has worked in broadcast news for the past 35 years. Currently serving as news director for sister stations 930 WFMD and 99.9 WFRE, she arrives at the studio well before dawn to prepare for the first of the many broadcasts she’ll present that day. The Middletown native discusses her years in broadcast news and the career that she wouldn’t change one bit.

Aging is said to be undefeated, and the team is getting much larger.

In Frederick County, the population of residents aged 65 and older, just 48,000 a decade ago, is expected to climb past 82,000 by 2030. Longevity in the county is over 80 years old, exceeded only by Howard and Montgomery counties in Maryland.
