Last night’s opening at the Delaplaine Arts Center was truly special. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the work—it meant so much to see the community show up in such a meaningful way.

A huge shoutout to our incredible youth participants. Your voices, your stories, and your courage are what make this work so powerful. And thank you to our community partners—Frederick Youthcouncil Asian American Center of Frederick, and Boys & Girls Club of Frederick—for continuing to stand with us and support youth in sharing their lived experiences.

Special thanks to Delegate Karen Simpson for always supporting our programs.

We are deeply grateful to our funders who make this work possible and help expand its reach: Delaplaine Foundation, Inc., Ausherman Family Foundation, Frederick Arts Council, Maryland State Arts Council, City of Frederick, and Asian American Center of Frederick

Our 2026 Photovoice exhibit, Youth Voices in Focus: Why Art Matters, is on display at the Delaplaine throughout May. This year’s exhibit highlights youth perspectives on mental health, using powerful images and narratives to show how creativity supports healing, expression, and resilience.

We hope you’ll continue to be part of this movement. Join us for our next event at New Spire Arts for Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day at 6 PM. The evening will include a youth provider resource fair, a Frederick Youth Council panel, and a youth talent show.

Again, thank you to everyone who came out—your support truly makes this work possible. 💛
