Today, FMCSA removed ten electronic logging devices from its list of approved devices for use in commercial motor vehicles.

“We will continue to take decisive enforcement action to ensure that only compliant, reliable devices are used on our nation’s roadways. Accurate hours-of-service records are essential to protecting public safety, supporting fair enforcement, and ensuring accountability across the commercial motor vehicle industry,” - FMCSA Administrator Derek D. Barrs

Drivers using the revoked ELD must switch to paper logs immediately. Motor carriers have 60 days to replace the device.

All Driver Licensing Regional Offices will be closed for observation of the Fourth of July holiday on Friday, July 3.
