That’s right, even teachers continue learning! Did you also know that The Welman Project offers FREE professional development sessions in our makerspace? I’m being so for real!

The Welman Project has a jam-packed lineup of workshops designed to spark creativity and curiosity in your curriculum while leveling up your reuse skillz. Alheli Torres teaches at Harmony Science Academy of Fort Worth and has been a good friend of ours for the past four years. Her school had to sacrifice its library for a music room, but she still needed a way to get books in her students’ hands. Alheli is a problem solver, so her family got together and created a little free library ON WHEELS!

At the end of the school year, the library was a total success! Students used the “take one, leave one” rule to share their books with each other. What a great way to swap stories.

Thanks for sharing with us, Alheli! This is how we work together to fill a classroom, not a landfill!
