🪭 Did you know? Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia appeared as extras in Washington National Opera's performance of "Ariadne auf Naxos" in January of 1994!

Although the two were divided in political views, they shared an extraordinary friendship that was rooted in a shared love of opera. Their bond ultimately inspired composer-librettist Derrick Wang’s opera "Scalia/Ginsburg", which transforms their dynamic into a witty, heartfelt celebration of disagreement, dialogue, and shared humanity.

🎭 Don’t miss your chance to experience how opera shaped this real-life story and brought these two voices together! Subscriptions are on sale now at the link in our bio, and single tickets go on sale in July.
