Being the cattle nerd that I am, it should surprise nobody that I like all sorts of genetic packages in the Texas Longhorn breed.

Several years ago I missed out on being able to add a cow that was a granddaughter to both Doherty 698 and Texas Trish FM276, but was able to get ahold of her about a year ago.
CK Rubies And Pearls is a daughter of CK Obediah, the last born offspring of the legendary Doherty 698, and CK Miss Tabasco, who is Tabasco over Texas Trish FM276 (the dam to Royal Reputation). Talk about some primo genetics.

Once we got her, then the question arose: Who do you breed a genetic package like that to? We toyed with the idea of putting her with some progressive, modern genetics, but in the end she was put with one of our favorite bulls from the past.
