I love to listen to a good podcast while driving, several months back I was listening to an episode on the subject of maintaining a positive outlook, and heard a doctor state that 90% of our daily thoughts are the same, and 80% of them are negative. More of my thoughts on the subject, and a simple way to fix 'em ;)

I dug deep before deciding on a focus word for 2023 - And in doing so, began researching the stories behind some of my favorite quotes.

Found online: Just a few miles from the front-line, Florence confronted the danger and served the injured men with compassion despite the risks. Florence believed that the closer to the battle front she could set up the hospital base, the quicker wounded men could get medical attention. She famously said, “How very little can be done under the spirit of fear”. She was right. The wounded soldiers, left helpless from battle now had hope for survival. As a Christian, she was familiar with the words of the Apostle Paul to Timothy, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
