Halo Effect…

Quiet win. Lasting impact. I was reelected as Precinct Chair and elected as an Indiana Democratic Convention Delegate…both uncontested.

My voice has always been a responsibility. On the radio, I use it to build connection through generations for NPR. At Harvard University, I’m sharpening my voice through leadership, policy, and sustainability work. But in my community, I’m using it to represent and ensure we’re not left out of rooms where decisions are being made.

I’m also deeply inspired by the legacy of Shirley Chisholm, and by every woman who has had to be clear, courageous, and unwilling to shrink in rooms that were not originally built with us in mind. A seat at the table? Yes, we are present!

Congratulations to all of my sisters and fellow candidates who continue to lead, serve, and show what representation looks like in policy. This photo from last year in D.C. with Congressman Andre Carson and Congressman Frank Mrvan still reminds me why representation matters.

This next season feels aligned.
