More Client Success!
Been working with Pat for over a year now, he's stronger now and more consistent than he's ever been with working out... Not to mention he might be the only one his age I know that can do an 18" box jump!
Here's what he had to say:
"I've been training with Jon Habeshy for over 15 months. I've achieved many health goals with his knowledge and experience through his training. He challenges me to do my best and meets you where you're at. I look forward to all the future benefits his personal training will give me."
is another rockstar of mine! After over a year she has dropped substantial bodyfat and is stronger than she's ever been in her life!
In her own words:
"Jon is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced trainer! I had multiple muscle imbalances and weaknesses. Over the course of a year(and still continuing) I experience more energy, strength, range of motion and a new level of goal setting. If you are on the fence about your health journey get off the fence and come see Jon!"
Appreciate you both! Let's keep rocking this!

"I WAS ALWAYS IN GOOD SHAPE BEFORE"
When people see pictures like this they assume that I've always been in relatively good shape... not true at all!
Those of you who've known me a while know I was naturally chunky!
Just like trying to do the diet and/or workout that got YOU in shape 15-20 years ago probably isn't going to cut it now!
I've seen it more than a handful of times....
Guys will come to me trying to get lean using a diet they did 15 years ago...
They will automatically assume that the way they looked before was a direct result of everything that they did. Don't buy into that!
How we look and perform in our younger years is often IN SPITE of what we did, rather than BECAUSE of what we did.
We had time and hormones on our side! Don't be one of those guys that says to me "I used to look like you..."
You didn't, but aside from that, it takes the right approach to transform your body!
The old diet, the old workout only worked on the younger you!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🦃
I post this every year, every other coach and their brother posts something like this I get it 😂 but you're gonna see my 2 cents anyway 😜.
I know it's still helpful for some so feel free to share if you find it helpful
Some of you have asked, and some haven't but I wanted to give you some guidelines for how to handle food today and holiday eating in general.
THESE ARE IN ORDER OF PRIORITY BTW:
1) BE THANKFUL!
This goes without saying, but oftentimes when we are focused on a goal we forget to acknowledge the fact that we are privileged to be able to work towards that goal. Some will be spending the holiday in a hospital bed or in a nursing/hospice home and their only goal will be to keep pain to a minimum. The fact that we're able to eat and work off some of that food is a gift in and of itself!
2) IT'S JUST ONE DAY!
If you're already at some level of fitness then you've been at this for several months or years then you know that those results didn't come overnight and they can't be undone in one day, either! None of you have contests next week or in 12 weeks. There are no shows until March (or late February) so if you tell me that you weren't able to get in shape because you went overboard on thanksgiving I'm not buying it!
3) DON'T THROW SELF-CONTROL OUT THE WINDOW!
If you haven't figured it out, I'm saying you should enjoy tomorrow with family and/or friends and not stress about eating. That said, there's no reason to go crazy and binge with 3 or 4 plates worth of food. Eat until your satisfied, not stuffed! You can enjoy the day without going overboard!
4a) DAMAGE CONTROL NUTRITION
Enjoy tomorrow and don't beat yourself up or stress over food. But understand that you probably won't wake up Friday morning looking leaner or better. It will be a minor setback where you lose a few days of progress if you do everything right. And if all of your other meals tomorrow are low in carbs and fats and higher in protein and fiber then you'll minimize the damage. Keep in mind that protein and fiber promote satiety so it'll be harder to overeat
