By 55 I’ve learned this hard truth…
Sometimes you’re not invisible — you’re just invisible to the wrong people.
Today is my birthday, and I’ve been reflecting on the lessons life has taught me along the way.
Here are 7 lessons turning 55 has taught me.

1️⃣ Sometimes you’re not invisible… you’re just invisible to the wrong people.
• The wrong rooms overlook your gifts.
The wrong people miss your value.
The right people will recognize what God placed inside of you.

2️⃣ My scars became my assignment.
• The pain I once tried to hide became the place I now help other women heal.
My struggles gave me empathy.
My testimony became my ministry.

3️⃣ People will place you in a box… and then underestimate you because of it.
• “She’s just a hairstylist.
“She’s only good at beauty.”
“She couldn’t possibly lead something bigger.”
Some boxes I crawled out of.
Some I walked out of.
And some I ran out of.

4️⃣ The most beautiful thing a woman can wear is FREEDOM.
• Freedom from shame.
Freedom from labels.
Freedom from trying to become who everyone else expected.

5️⃣ Being underestimated can become your greatest advantage.
• While others were overlooking me, I was growing.
While others were doubting me, I was learning.
While others were watching, I was becoming.

6️⃣ Leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room.
• It’s about lifting other women.
It’s about mentoring and encouraging the next generation.
It’s about helping women see what they carry.

7️⃣ Purpose gets clearer with time.
• The struggles make sense.
The lessons connect.
The calling becomes undeniable.
