After a kind of intense week, it was good to get outside and paint the garden today. It is BURSTING with blooms. It has taken quite a few years, but ai feel like I am starting to get it to where a few things bloom and as those fade, new areas come to life, with a lovely overlap.

I painted two side by side paintings, starting with dry on wet for the first one, wet on wet for the second one. The wet on wet definitely glows more, while the dry on wet is much richer and darker and contrasting.

The light that comes n the end of May, beginning of June just hits different. It’s probably my favorite time of the year just because of this view.

I’m excited to share with you that I’ve been selected to exhibit my work by .arts.council at the Ada Arts Festival in June! Come see my booth along with so many other talented artists June 13, 10-5pm at Ada Township Park.
