Anchor Films

Anchor partnered with ad agency, , to create a Brand Film for —a global Japanese brand that makes energy-efficient tankless water heaters sold in 79 countries (see the full video at our website).

The results spoke for themselves, but the process, too, made an impression. Rinnai’s Senior Director of Marketing, David Federico shared this:

Lighting setup from Concept #1 in the previous post.

12x12 overhead lit w/4 strobes, 1 strobe behind the subject giving a subtle flare, and one more strobe up front in a beauty dish adding shape.

For the gear nerds, four of the strobes are Profoto B10X Plus’s and the other two are B10X‘s…all connected via Bluetooth to an iPad controlling output. Chimera softboxes and beauty dish, Canon camera & glass…R5 paired with the 50mm f/1.2 for the portraits (but this BTS was likely shot on the 16-35mm f/2.8).

We shoot tethered to CaptureOne and always work with a 1st Assistant to ensure exposure/ focus/etc are on point, and to dial in the “look” in real time so we don’t have any surprises in post.
