Staff Accountant
A local non-profit is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for numbers and accuracy. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information for various projects and initiatives.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements:
• Proven experience working as a Staff Accountant
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
