My favorite compliment to receive is when a new client tells me they were reluctant to meet with a realtor because of bad past experiences, but would like me to represent them in both their purchase and sale going forward. 1 showing with a new client today turned into 4 showings and a listing as a result, and it’s a great reminder that success comes from building relationships and taking care of people, not from a script, a sales tactic, or sending a million calls and texts. when you work in the sales field, every 👏🏻 single 👏🏻 time!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you work in real estate or a related field and you don’t practice an abundance mindset, you’re doing it wrong. If someone needs a contractor/remodler/painter, I’ve got a guy for that. If someone needs mold/water remediation, I’ve got a guy for that. If someone needs HVAC done, I’ve got a guy for that. If someone needs an incredible lender, I’ve got a *girl* for that. And each of those people will go above and beyond for my clients, whether it’s creating new lending programs for a client, waiving inspection fees, lowering a quote, or dropping everything to squeeze in a job and save a transaction. Why? Because I make sure everyone who comes to the table eats, every time. And they do the same.

When I work with other agents, the story is the same. We work together and do whatever we need to do to save the transaction for BOTH of our clients. Sometimes one or both of us dips into our own pockets to do it. Because at the end of the day, everyone’s goal is the same, and I’m not about to let either one of our clients lose out on what they want because I decided to have a pi***ng contest in the sandbox with another agent.

Real estate is a relationships game, not a sales game. If your focus is getting the absolute maximum out of a transaction at the expense of everyone else involved, you’ll eat great for a day, but you’ll never been invited back to that table. 🤷🏼‍♀️

And if you don’t work in this field, keep that in mind when you’re choosing an agent to represent you. Look for the agents who have clearly fostered those relationships, because the hours they’ll spend networking on your behalf behind the scenes is often the difference between a successful transaction and a failed one ❤️
