It's not enough to just say 'I'm free.' You need to be specific. What are you free from? Debt? Loneliness? Sadness? Depression? Name it. Declare your freedom from it today. You need to label that thing.
Even when the answer hasn't arrived, faith equips us to hold onto the promise. Like Rahab, whose cord remained a sign of hope before the walls fell, we too can hold onto hope and faith. Our faith is built through divine observation, opportunity, obstacles, and ultimately, outcome. Rahab's story shows us that even a past defined by others doesn't dictate destiny; her lineage became part of Jesus'.
Rahab's faith was tested as she waited for the walls of Jericho to fall. The spies promised her family's safety in exchange for her help. She tied a scarlet cord in her window, a visible sign of her commitment and a promise she held onto even as days turned into weeks. Like Rahab, we often hold onto prayers and promises that seem to yield nothing, questioning if they are real. Remember, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Rahab's cord was her evidence, her promise her foundation.
