That line from our COO Richard Zimmermann has been sitting with me since he published "Built to Empower" earlier this month.

It's a window into why Beast Code is structured the way it is. A matrix that separates career authority (our GMs) from delivery authority (our PMs). Not because matrix orgs are fashionable, but because the alternative quietly trades honest work for compliance.
