St. John's Sack Lunch Program

Sack Lunch is closed on Sundays. Our downtown neighbors and friends at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith, AR (116 N. 12 Street) will host a free sit down dinner today at 5:00 p.m. The menu is: Hamburgers, tater tots, vegetables and cake for dessert. They also will offer free shoes, clothing and other items. 🍽️

Hope Campus (301 South E Street) offers a cooling station for those who are unhoused and need a break when temperatures reach 95 degrees. 🥵

St. Anne’s Society - Fort Smith will be seeing people in need of utility help on Monday, July 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Please note they only help Sebastian County residents. They will be set up inside of Hope Campus. Bring two forms of identification and the bill must be in your name ( per their information). As for Sack Lunch, we will see you all tomorrow!

Thank you to our lunch crew for your service to our most vulnerable. When young people begin volunteering early, they often continue serving throughout adulthood, building compassion and a broader awareness of others. ❤️🌎

We are especially thankful for Officer Shoptaw and Officer Williams. They serve as strong role models and reflect the values of our police department.

We recognize that food insecurity is often not solved by a pantry visit once a month or by a blessing box that may or may not be stocked. This is why we serve six days a week.

For some people, there is no food at home because they are unhoused, and for others it is because it is that time of the month when other bills have had to come first. Some people also need food immediately due to a crisis happening today. While others do not qualify for SNAP and live pay check to pay check.

The faces of food insecurity might surprise you, but not us. If we can help you or someone you know, stop by and see us at 317 North F Street. We are quick, friendly and do not require documents or identification. Serving times: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. to noon. Saturday 11:30 a.m. to noon.

You may visit during both serving times during the weekday. We also provide dog and cat food thanks to our volunteers and pet food donors.
