Reformed refers to our theological heritage as coming from the 16th century Protestant Reformation, a movement seeking to purify the church and make it radically biblical. Presbyterian refers to our form of church government, which is rule by the biblical word Presbyters or Elders. All these terms are designed to be helpful in describing us as holding firmly to the Bible as God’s authoritative and inerrant Word and seeking to advance the Church of The Lord Jesus Christ and carry out his Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:18-20:

Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
