Earth Day 2026 litter pick up success! Thank you to the Fort Mill High School Men’s soccer team and members of the FMHS Beta Club for volunteering! There were 46 volunteers who removed 481 pounds of litter.

And here’s the article about the tires and the associated chemicals found in our waterways in the United States and new testing methods.

This is why the PHD student at the Clemson Toxicology lab was interested in my samples at my collection sites. The waterway that I was working in was next to the interstate and the waterways were connected to the Charleston Harbor where she was working.
