Custom lumed hands and perimeter hour markers add modern nighttime legibility while preserving the watch’s vintage character, creating a striking contrast between antique aesthetics and contemporary functionality.

Inside, a 17-jewel Illinois movement manufactured in 1923 showcases striped finishing, visible gold-toned gearing, jewel settings, and the engraved “The Autocrat” designation through the exhibition caseback. Housed in Vortic’s fully machined bronze case with a matching bronze crown and finished with an oxblood cordovan strap, the Springfield 176 is a watch defined by character, craftsmanship, and the beauty of natural aging.

The Springfield 177 features a warm honey-gold dial accented by bold black Arabic numerals and elegant blued open-circle hands that give the watch a refined early twentieth-century character.
