They'd had a hit with their debut, "Whatcha Gonna Do About It" but the self-penned follow-up - “I’ve Got Mine” - stiffed; as a result, their manager Don Arden (Sharon Osbourne's father) ordered them to record this. (Kind of like The Beatles issuing "How Do You Do It" if "Please Please Me" had tanked.)

Co-written by the late Kenny Lynch, this song indeed made it to #3, but at the cost of self-respect. Their newfound teeny bopper following disenchanted many, not least singer Steve Marriott, who felt that their credibility had been compromised. Still, they rocked the hell out of it…
