As several wildfires actively burn throughout Colorado and neighboring states, we wanted to thank wildland firefighters and fire support personnel on National Wildland Firefighter Day.
Thank you for your dedication, sacrifices, and courage as you work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
This week is Wildland Firefighter Week of Remembrance. As we recognize the service of wildland firefighters across the country, we also take a moment to honor the three firefighters who lost their lives in the Knowles Fire this past weekend. We extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends, and fellow firefighters.
The wildfire season is already off to a devastating start. If you would like to donate to the recovery efforts for any of these fires, you can find resources on our disaster recovery fund webpage: https://nocofoundation.org/noco-disaster-recovery-fund/
Meals On Wheels of Loveland & Berthoud, Inc. does more than just provide meals to our neighbors. They provide connection, conversation, and a sense of belonging.
In this episode of NoCo Voices, Kristin Todd explores the NoCo Foundation’s Intersections work, an approach to understanding how complex community challenges are connected across Northern Colorado.
She’s joined by Jeffrey Pomranka, Executive Director of Meals on Wheels Loveland Berthoud, to share how their work goes far beyond delivering meals. From reducing social isolation to creating job training opportunities, Meals on Wheels is a powerful example of how connection, care, and opportunity intersect to strengthen a community.
