“Home is where the heart is.” And if I’ve learned nothing more throughout this trip, it’s that home is on the mats for me (well, mats and mountains anyway)… and how lucky am I to have found so close to my California “home” in Temecula.

They have so many opportunities to get on the mats and so many people waiting with arms wide open, ready to welcome you (my first night was no gi, so other than Sal, one of the owners I spoke with, for all they knew, I hadn’t ever choked a friend for fun before).

Grateful for this weird little life of mine. It sure is humbling to walk this path… and I couldn’t imagine life any other way.
