Drove up Poudre Canyon with the intention of going over Cameron Pass but ran into road construction and didn't want to spend that much time in the car (my body is really HURTING with the front that's coming in...), so we turned around short of the pass. I'm glad we did, because a couple of miles after turning around there was a huge bull moose in the road. By the time we reached where he had been, he had gone into Sleeping Elephant picnic area, which is closed...didn't he see the sign?? 😂🤣
I parked Max off the highway and slowly, carefully walked into the area where I had seen Bullwinkle standing in some trees. He was nowhere to be found.
I gave up and walked back out to the highway. After letting two speeding cars go by, I crossed the road and turned to walk to my car...and there he was, about 20 feet beyond Max! I yelled at Linda to turn and look, then got my camera ready. These are the pics I managed to get! 😎
