Finances Without Fear
Welcome to Finances Without Fear with your Financial Coach, Tina Bunn
Connecting couples through their money
Eliminate debt and take control of your money
Stronger marriage, stronger money mindset
We paid off $50,000 in 11 months. But we made PLENTY of mistakes along the way.
Mistake #1: No starter emergency fund
Don't throw every dollar at debt immediately. If the car breaks down, you'll have to use a credit card. Soul-crushing. Start with $1,000 in savings FIRST.
Mistake #2: Going too intense too fast
Don't be SO intense that you burn out by month 6. Sustainability over speed. Find a pace you can maintain.
Mistake #3: Not celebrating wins
Don't be so focused on the finish line that you forget to celebrate small wins. Celebrate every debt you pay off, every time you stick to the budget, every time you have a productive money conversation. The small wins matter.
Want a proven system that avoids these mistakes? I'm dropping something in June that's going to help. Join my email list (comment JOIN) to be first to know.
Everyone posts the big wins, the credit cards paid off, the debt-free scream...
Nobody posts the month the balance barely moved.
Nobody posts the Saturday you said no to something you actually wanted.
Nobody posts the Tuesday you almost quit — and didn't.
The middle is the hardest part. It's also where everything actually happens.
If you're in the middle right now — this is for you. Keep going.

Most couples don't fail at budgeting because they're bad at math.
They fail because the budget never felt like theirs.
When you build it together, and when you both have a say in where the money goes, everything shifts.
That's what we work on in my community. If you want to be the first to know when doors open, get on my email list. Link in bio.
