As you look through your homes for spring cleaning or find items left over from garage sales, please consider donating them for our neighbors in need!

Over the past two years, we've collected and handed out clothing and hygiene items to those in Dallas who lack many of the things that we hardly think twice about. As summer approaches, these individuals will be needing comfortable clothes and shoes as they endure the Texas heat. Please consider donating new or gently used ADULT

📣 It's that time of year! Once again, The Paint Puppy is partnering with Elyse's Warrior Foundation for its annual Valentine's Day Lego Toy Drive, which will gift Lego sets to patients at the Dallas Children's Hospital! 📣

When we were in the eighth grade, my best friend, Elyse, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia - AML. Those three letters changed my life. Elyse fought so hard and inspired those around her, showing the inner strength that we all have, and her journey helped illuminate the power of prayer and trusting in God. Nine months into her battle, she passed away peacefully.

Now, her family has made it their mission to help others affected by pediatric cancer, and their not-for-profit organization, Elyse's Warrior Foundation, is hosting its fourth Valentine's Day Lego Toy Drive. Elyse loved building Lego sets with her younger brother, and hopefully, these sets can spread joy to other warriors. I want to keep my best friend's memory alive and help in any way that I can, so 📣 The Paint Puppy is raffling off one custom 8x10 portrait of one pet 📣 to raise money! (That's valued at over $160!) Last year, we raised $270 from raffle tickets, helping Elyse's family buy Lego sets (a total of 241!) for some beautiful individuals. Let's top that!

I am so grateful and joyful to announce that I've been given the opportunity to attend the University of Notre Dame. Our Lord has blessed me so much - more than I realize - and I hope and pray that this experience can deepen not only my knowledge, but also my faith and commitment to serving Him and His people.

I've dreamed of attending Notre Dame since I was seven years old, when we first visited the campus and went to Mass. It amazes me where God has led and how He leads us, and through this journey, I've come to see what all we can do if we aim high, work hard, lean on those around us, and trust in Him.

Thank you, Notre Dame, for welcoming me in. Thank you to my clients, who have trusted me to help celebrate their beloved pets, helped me continue on with my endeavors, and been such lights in my life. Thank you to my coaches, teachers, friends, and family members, who have helped teach, encourage, and uplift me. Thank you so much to my mom, dad, and grandmother; these three have showered me with love and support, sacrificed so much for me, cheered me on through it all, and been God's visible angels. And glory be to God above all, for through Him, all is possible - every beautiful blessing, no matter how great or small.

I look forward to the rest of high school and the memories to come. (Oh, how time has flown by, but how beautiful it has been!) I look forward to seeing where Our Lord leads my friends and hope that we can all keep going strong by His graces. And when the leaves begin to change colors and the sun shines a golden glow as fall dawns, I look forward to hearing the Basilica bells ringing and breathing in deeply as I return to a special place on this earth that feels like home.

A few weekends ago, we went to Dallas with another load of donations for those without homes. With God's graces and the support of generous neighbors, we were able to extend some help to these neighbors in need.

We can't do this alone; these donations come from the beauty of your hearts. With many more individuals still out in the cold, underclothed and seeking warmth, we would greatly appreciate you to spread to them some of the goodness within you! Please consider donating new or gently used ADULT
