The International Presbytery of the Church of God of Prophecy has reaffirmed Bishop Brian Sutton to serve another four-year term as general presbyter for North America.

After a time of prayer and the laying on of hands, Presiding Bishop Tim Coalter congratulated Bishop Sutton on behalf of the International Presbytery, expressing the Church’s love and appreciation for his ministry before inviting him to share a few remarks.

Receiving the reaffirmation, Bishop Sutton reflected on the responsibility entrusted to him four years ago, saying, “I have done the best I could.” He reminded those gathered that, “Some of us plant and some of us water, but it’s always God [who gives the increase.” Giving all glory to the Lord, he continued, “Anything that has been done that is good, He did it.”

Bishop Sutton also expressed heartfelt gratitude for his wife, Renee, calling her “such a wonderful companion” who has been “so gracious throughout this.” He thanked his children and grandchildren, expressed his love for the 26 North America bishops, his fellow General Presbyters, Presiding Bishop Tim Coalter, the International Presbytery, and the International Offices team, concluding that it is “such an honor” to serve alongside them.
