Clipped In for Life

That's a wrap for week two of our Youth Community Access Summer Ride Camp and we are so honored to have the opportunity to ride with these 25 amazing 4th & 5th graders this week! We’re so proud of their accomplishments, positive attitudes, and desire to learn and explore. We built skills and confidence, learned we can do hard things, made new friends, and some kids even learned to pedal a bike for the first time! These summer memories will last a lifetime and hopefully translate into daily adventures.

This week's highlights:

Forming great friendships and bonds all week with both campers and coaches

Riding our bikes and exploring Folsom's trails - paved and dirt!

Practicing our skills on the camp's pump track and skills features

Learning how to fix things on our bikes

Some groups riding up to 15 miles a day!

Learning how to pan for gold

Touring the Folsom Powerhouse Museum and understanding how electricity works

Interacting with ducks, geese, lizards and other wildlife.

Riding down the hill in front of Folsom Dam

Playing on paddleboards and big inflatable docks at Lake Natoma

Enjoying a hard-earned ice cream treat on a hot day from Snooks Candies!

Learning the importance of traffic safety and trail etiquette when we're on our bikes
