A clearer read on the solar tax credit timeline — for any organization weighing solar this year. 📅
The ITC isn't shrinking. The solar ITC keeps its full 30% value through its sunset date. The battery ITC remains available through 2033, also at full 30%.
What changed is the timeframe to use the credit:
→ Projects that began before July 4, 2025: four years from start to complete.
→ Projects starting after July 4, 2025: must be in service by end of 2027.
The question isn't whether the credit is smaller. It's whether your project timeline fits the window.
