Went to this weekend and saw my homie
If you’ve never been, Barefoot Resort is a great spot for a golf trip. It has 4 courses on site and a couple of restaurants. Big Break Myrtle Beach was filmed on site.
Overall rankings of the courses:
1. Love: lots of elevation changes, greens and fairways were pretty big for the most part. Tons of character
2. Dye: typical Dye design. Pot bunkers and smaller greens with collection areas. Probably the hardest of all 4. Gotta hit it in the right spots! Reading the greens might lead to a migraine.
3. Fazio: I liked this course a lot. Tons of character. Not extremely challenging, but made for a fun round. Good shots lead to good scores.
4. Norman: This course was in good shape, but didn’t make a big impression. No real memorable holes or features. Fairly forgiving. Greens were easy to read - any slopes were very obvious. Still fun, just not my favorite.
Putting tip: keep your head down and hold your follow through until the ball reaches the hole.
