Hello loyal customers, friends, and family we hope you are doing great.

We wanted to share some bitter sweet news, if you did not hear already. We are saying good bye to all of our customers. Thank you for your loyal and shared experiences with each other. The Lai family will be moving on and enjoying retirement, while we may no longer be in Flushing, we hope fond memories continue to stay with us. We opened in 1986 and had a great 36 years. We pride ourselves in serving 3 generations of customer families, thus becoming part of our family as well.

Along with selling gas and mechanical work, our past services ranged from selling cars to auto body work in three locations. We loved hearing stories of your first car purchase with us, to bringing back your cars from the mechanical dead, and to fixing all sorts of body repair. We truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts-from those that got to know us recently, and to the first ones who walked in the door since day one.

We are currently suspending drop off service during this time, unless the vehicle has been towed in. We look forward to serving you again when we return.

As the outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19 continues to evolve, we at Lai’s Auto Service are working to ensure your experience with us remains safe.
Deemed a NYC Essential Business we will be opened for service. However, we will be potentially operating limited service hours and may experience service delays. In the current situation we hope for cooperation and patience from our customers.
The health and safety of our customers remains of highest priority. We are working with our service personnel to make sure our site is more frequently cleaned and sanitized - from fuel nozzles to store countertops to all the door handles.
We also recognize that convenience store represents a quick and easy resource for purchasing food and beverage items. We are focused on keeping these essential items in stock and on the shelves for you.
We continue to monitor the latest developments surrounding COVID-19 and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and local and national authorities – and will respond in ways that are consistent with our mission to provide you with the experience you expect.

In observation of Labor Day, Lai's Auto Service will be closed Monday Sept 7. We will reopen Tuesday Sept 8, at 8AM.

Fun fact - the first Labor Day was first celebrated in New York 1882! If you have off, please enjoy the holiday!
