Freedom didn’t just happen—it was fought for, voted on, and demanded by the people. On December 6, 1865, the 13th Amendment was officially ratified, abolishing slavery in the United States.

This year on December 6th, we gather in St. Louis to honor that legacy with wellness, art, storytelling, and community.

Did you know?

The Emancipation Proclamation didn’t fully end slavery—it only applied to Confederate states in rebellion.
It took the 13th Amendment, passed on Dec. 6, 1865, to make freedom the law of the land.

💭 Today, freedom is still something we nurture, practice, and protect.
