Sorry for the inconvenience but we need to move tonight’s class to Thursday night. If you were planning to come tonight and cannot attend on Thursday please text me at (256)275-7112 so we can figure something out. Again I am so sorry to have to make this change at the last minute. Please share to spread the word!
Newbie embroidery peeps this one’s for you! If you are interested in learning the basics of machine embroidery or are interested in getting into machine embroidery this class is for you!!! This is NOT a class to learn how to use a specific machine, this IS a class to learn the basics of what stabilizer to use on what project, proper tools, techniques, thread, blanks, hooping, and sew much more! All you need is your $35 class fee, and a notebook and pen as there will be LOTS of information. If you have specific questions please write them down and bring them with you for the Q&A sesh! There is plenty of room in the classroom so as long as there are seats we will not limit the number for this class!

🩵 A Heartfelt Announcement From Thread 🩵
This is not an easy post for me to write, I have tried several times this weekend to make this post but the words just would not come. After MUCH thought and endless prayers, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the storefront. Our last day open in store will be Wednesday, May 20th.
Over the past several years, I have truly fallen in love with this community. The support, kind conversations, and familiar faces who walked through the doors have meant more to me than I can say. When I was asked to take over I was so excited, since my college days when Thread was just beginning I had always dreamed of calling something like that my own. My job back then revolved around creating a sense of community and I have longed for that feeling ever since. Quilters certainly have that sense of community, it is one of our greatest qualities. I thank each and every one of you for allowing me to be part of your community. The memories I’ve made here will stay with me for a long time.
Over the past few years the store has had to change directions to accommodate what was working for the business at the time. A little over a year ago it was a drastic change, the retail part of the business was not doing near as well as the services side. This is a change that almost all small businesses have seen in recent times. I continued to try to make the fabric side work but the long arm and embroidery are what was keeping me (very) busy. Which is wonderful, but the majority of that work is done before and after regular store hours. This has really become a strain on my family. I promised myself in the beginning that if this became too much for me, my family, or my health that I would pull the plug. And that time has finally come… sort of…
This is not the end, it is simply a pivot to a more productive setting. I will still be taking long arm and embroidery orders but I will be working from home from now on. I hope that this will make me MORE available to all of you and will significantly improve my turn around times. For now I will pause any embroidery orders as my plan is to finish the ones I have now and get that machine fully serviced before I move it back to my home. I will continue to take long arm orders as well. We will continue to have our meetings we will just be finding new places to host them.
To celebrate the closing of this chapter with you and to say thank you, we will be having a Store Closing Sale. Everything will be discounted. Fixtures will also be for sale. The machines and AccuQuilt are not. We will still have all our scheduled classes through the end of this month. We have several great classes with great teachers so let’s fill those seats!
Thank you for making me feel so loved these past few years. This community means the world to me, and I hope to see ALL of you over the next couple weeks as we make our final memories together in the store. 🩵
