Calathea Rattlesnake Care Guide🐍

We highly recommend this Calathea to beginners and people that have a hard time with Calatheas in general. They are the easiest of the genus to care for. Here’s a short guide on how to keep them alive and thriving. 💗

1. Does amazing in bright indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light. You’ll know you’re providing too much sun light if the leaves start to fade.

2. There is not a definite schedule for watering any plants and there are no answers on the internet to tell you how often. It’s best to get your hands a little dirty and check the dirt often. You want the soil to be dry throughout before you water. Don’t allow the soil to stay dry for too long or you’ll notice curling in the leaves.

3. Humidity is key for these to thrive. They like humidity around 50%, this doesn’t mean you‘ll need a humidifier depending on where you live. If you do have low humidity conditions, you can leave a glass of water near your plants to increase humidity. Low humidity for these looks like browning tips.

4. Cleaning leaves with a microfiber cloth occasionally is very helpful! Bugs and pest live on the underside of the leaves, if you have a plant pest issue. Neem oil or Leaf Shine are great products, just make sure it’s diluted!

5. Soil is another important factor in making sure this plant stays healthy. Well draining soil mix that’s heavy on orchid bark and perlite helps to keep the plant draining properly. Otherwise you may notice attributes of overwatering apparently on the foliage.

You can buy as many as you’d like today off of our plant shop! Shipping is typically fast and they arrive full and in good health. To top it all off, it’s Pet Safe! ⭐️
