Snapdragons are here!

And so is an update about my snapdragon experiment! As you may know, I planted two beds of snapdragons this spring. In one, I placed the plants about four inches apart and did not pinch. The other was planted at six inches and I did pinch. I wanted to see if I could expand my window of harvest and have these beauties blooming longer in the garden, in succession.

And right now I'm harvesting from that first bed, the plants I didn't pinch. The stems are super tall and strong, without much flopping at all. You can see the second (pinched) bed in the left of this photo. Not blooming, and hopefully behind this first bed by a number of weeks.
