🇺🇸 Reminder from Genesee County: Stay Safe This Fourth of July 🎆

Tomorrow, we celebrate Independence Day—a time for family, friends, fireworks, and freedom. As you make your plans, please take a moment to keep safety at the center of your celebration:

🔥 Fireworks:
• Leave the big displays to the pros if you can.
• If using legal fireworks at home, have water nearby and supervise children at all times.
• Remember: fireworks can be triggering for pets, veterans, and those with PTSD—please be mindful of your neighbors.

🚗 Travel:
• Plan ahead. Don’t drink and drive—ever.
• Buckle up, slow down, and expect heavier traffic throughout the county.
• Watch for pedestrians, especially in neighborhood gatherings and park areas.

🎇 Be Considerate:
• Respect noise curfews.
• Clean up after your celebration.
• Check on elderly neighbors who may need a little peace or assistance.

Genesee County wishes everyone a happy, safe, and responsible Fourth of July. Let’s celebrate freedom with care—for each other, for our first responders, and for the community we call home.
