Prayer works!

I was at a Memorial Day parade this morning and was approached by a young lady that said, “Can I pray for you?”

I of course said, “Yes!”

She said, “I know in yo it r line of work you could use the prayer.”

So right there in the middle of the street she prayed for me.

What a selfless act and one I will not quickly forget.

Jesus charged each of us to pray for one another too. Even his half-brother James encouraged us to pray.

“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Let’s recommit our lives to spending more time in prayer. People are counting on you and me to do our part. Let’s not tell someone “I’ll be praying for you.” Let’s be bold enough to pray for them whenever and wherever we are.

God have your way in us today. Let us be more in tune with Your spirit. Help us to be sensitive to Your spirit and pray for others as You direct and guide us. Thank you Lord for all Your blessings. Amen.
