Yet another bathroom renovation…this time for my sister! ♥️ We decided to go with a vertical subway pattern for this one and I’m SO thrilled with how it’s turning out!

I’m SO grateful to have my friend Wes leading and teaching me all the tips and tricks before I attempt to renovate two bathrooms on my own next year! 😬

I started waterproofing a bathroom today in a new renovation for one of my favorite clients! I LOVE Schluter-Systems North America so much and continue to be SO grateful to my incredible Schluter Rep for all of her help ensuring I’m getting everything set perfectly!

This was my first time waterproofing with the Kerdi Boards and I have to say…I am SUCH a fan!

My first 2 bathrooms were with Kerdi membrane over sheetrock. As someone who is fairly new to this, I haven’t quite developed that sharp muscle memory wrist action required to efficiently and smoothly get the large panels of Kerdi membrane just right! Being able to take my time with the boards and fasteners was definitely more my style.

I’m heading back for Day 2 to waterproof the seams and fasteners next, then set the shower tray. Waterproofing truly doesn’t get any easier than Schluter!

I waterproofed my first bathroom today, thanks to my Field Rep Liz Roberts Works and Schluter-Systems North America 🙌🏽

We’re bringing this new construction home build to the finish line this month and roaring into the finishes!

We had to execute this build extremely efficiently to ensure we could move through each component very swiftly. When the project budget didn’t have flexibility for costly tile labor, we had to get creative. I attended the Schluter Workshop to learn how to waterproof a bathroom, which is the critical preparation ahead of setting tile.

Thankfully, my Rep is absolutely AMAZING and came on site today to make sure everything was prepped correctly. 🙌🏽

I’ll be waterproofing the 2nd bathroom solo tomorrow, then bring on the tile! 💪🏽
